Rogue Wah

The Rogue Wah is $20, the Wah/Volume is $30. Both are Jen Wah/Volume circuits with an input buffer, the Wah model is hardwired to Wah. It has a "Color" control, which other manufactures call a "Q" control.
For $20 you get a plastic Wah enclosure, a PCB with the components, battery clip, 9V adaptor jack socket and in/out jack sockets. This is a good deal. Plus the metal bottom has a battery door!
The inductor looks like an cheap audio transformer, so you might want to replace that. The pot broke with about an hour's use. The stomp switch has 3 positions: Wah, No Sound At All, and Bypassed. It makes a loud noise as it switches among these. The switch has to go. I added a 220k resistor and a switch and I had a fairly bad volume pedal, so I'll stick with the Wah.
Stock the pedal sounds trebly, not much bass action. Good for Retro Funk with the "Color" at max.
All 3 transistors were the same, usually the input buffer is a Darlington or JFET for high input impedance. So I replaced the input transistor with a J201 JFET, twisting the legs to suit the pinout. The resistor values worked fine with the JFET. I swapped the 0.01 buffer input cap for a 0.047 so the input buffer doesn't steal too much bass.
