Oh dear, the sound sample site got dotcommed, so the sound links don't work. I have them on CD somewhere, I'll try to dig them up.

This is a single stage CD4049UBE with a 56k feedback resistor going to a 1Meg series volume control (not connected to ground) going to the soundcard. I used a clean preamp before the CD4049. The circuit is 3 components plus the preamp.
